Review: This book was a rollercoaster of emotions for me! I laughed out loud, smiled with heart eyes, felt my heart crack open in pain, and sobbed so hard the words blurred together.

Briana is tough but guarded, lovable but distant, and incredibly smart but often judgmental. I know many didn’t enjoy her childlike behavior and man drama but I found all of it entirely relatable. I feel like the storyline handled it well. Poor girl had a lot going on in her life and had never taken the time to heal her heart and herself. It’s hard to practice self-care when you’re too busy caring for everyone else.

My favorite part of this entire story was the letters back and forth. I was giddy to read each and every single one of them, and then POOF! They just disappeared (until the end) and I was sad. Why Abby, why?!

Review: Why did I wait so long to read this?! This ended up being my favorite Abby J book to date, it's so good! I hated having to put this book down, it brought me so much happiness and my heart felt like it was bursting with joy at the turn of every page.

While this book is full of so many sweet and heart-gushing moments, it also covers some difficult themes around emotional abuse, physical abuse (side character), and anxiety. I enjoyed following along with Alexis's personal growth and self-discovery. She's an older character, in her 30s who is recently divorced and trying to find her way forward while dealing with the expectations of her wealthy family and the career they have planned out for her.

Synopsis: They say that time heals all wounds, but for Sloan Monroe, that isn't the case at all. It's been two years since Sloan lost her fiance Brandon in a horrific motorcycle accident. Jason reaches out to Sloan to clear the air, and get his dog back, and at first, Sloan wants nothing to do with Jason, but then she begins to change her mind and there seems to be some chemistry happening between them.

Review: When I found out that this book was the sequel to The Friend Zone, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I was excited to see that the story focused on Sloan and her life following the accident. I'm not really a dog person but watching Sloan and Jason build a relationship because of Tucker, I couldn't help but have a soft spot in my heart for him.

I loved the storyline of this book. I liked that the storyline was more light and airy compared to The Friend Zone. I fell in love with the characters and I really enjoyed seeing Kristin and Josh make multiple cameos. Jason was such a sweetheart in the story and you could tell how much he cared about Sloan. His gestures were so sweet and attentive. I couldn't help but swoon and smile, in fact, my cheeks hurt so bad from smiling through the entire story. I cannot wait to read the third book in this series, set to be published in 2021.
