February 2022 TBR

Happy first day of February, bookworms!

I am so excited to put January behind me and move on to February, which will hopefully be a better month! What a tough month January was! Thankfully I was still able to reach my reading goal so I am still on track for the year. I had a hard time picking what to read for February - there are so many good books I want to get to and I am hoping I have time to read more than four, but we’ll see. Here’s what I hope to read in February:

January 2022 TBR

Happy first day of January, bookworms!

I can’t believe it’s already a brand new year which means the beginning of a brand new reading challenge. It feels strange to be “starting over” with my reading - I swear it was just October? Anyways, I am going to stick to my goal from last year and keep it at 52 books. I’m obviously hoping to surpass that but ultimately I will be happy if I finish one book a week - that’s also probably more realistic for me. Here’s what I hope to read in January:

Now that October is over, I am ready for Christmas! Starting today I will be reading Christmas books for the next two months and I can’t wait! I’ve also been recording the Hallmark Christmas movies and now that it’s Nov 1st I can start watching them. Bring on Christmas!

Happy first day of October, bookworms!

A brand new month means a brand new stack of books to read. I had a hard time choosing which books I wanted to read this month. I think I am going to try some season reading and focus on either thrillers, autumn romance, or books with magic/witches/werewolves/vampires. There are a lot of fantastic fantasy books out this month so it’s hard to pick just a couple.

Happy first day of February, bookworms!

Did you have a good reading month in January? I was only able to finish two books. I was about halfway done with The Archive of the Forgotten but I didn't get a chance to finish it before the end of the night. Oh well, I guess it will count for February then! 

Because February is Black History Month, I am hoping to read a couple books featuring African American characters or written by BIPOC authors.

Now that it's January I am looking at my goal for the upcoming year. I plan to read 52 books this year, so one book a week. That should be manageable, and hopefully, I will end up surpassing that, but at least I will have a guideline.

Did you have a good reading month in November? I was able to read 2 novels and one graphic novel.

Now that it's December I am into my seasonal holiday romance novels. Most of them are ridiculously cheesy but I just don't care, haha. I've only read 2 so far, so hopefully I will be able to get more read in December because there are a bunch I want to read this year.

November 2020 TBR

Happy first day of November, bookworms!

Did you have a good reading month in October? My goal was to read 3 books even though I was really hoping to read more. I was able to fit in 4 books during October so I am excited about surpassing my goal, even if it was just by a little bit.

Now that it's November I am ready to start in on my holiday romance novels! There are actually quite a few I hope to read between November and December but most of them are on my kindle so I only took a photo of the three I had on hand already. Fingers crossed that November is a great reading month!

October 2020 TBR

Happy first day of October, bookworms!

Did you have a good reading month in September? My goal was to read 5 books even though I was really hoping to read more. I started off so good! I thought for sure it would be my month to get a lot read but then suddenly it went downhill and it took me F.O.R.E.V.E.R to read Love & War. Like, an embarrassing amount of time. Ugh. I’m not adjusting well to working and my kids being in school, and after-school activities. It feels like we suddenly went from nothing to a whole lot of something real fast.

That being said, I decided that this month I needed another small TBR, mostly because I know not to overreach with my goals. Anyway, I am expecting to read 5 books this month but I only picked out three for my TBR pile because I’m not sure what exactly I’m in the mood to read. I might add in some more thriller or I might just switch over to Holiday romance. It’s yet to be determined, haha.

Did you have a good reading month in August? My goal was to read 5 books and I knew that was a pretty realistic goal for me. I ended up finishing the month by reading 6 books. Not bad!

This month I have another small TBR picked out, mostly because I know not to overreach with my goals. School is starting back up for my kids and dance. I'm definitely going to struggle with getting back into a routine so I don't anticipate having much free time or time to relax. Anyway, I am hoping to read 5 books this month which is my average.
